Ted Monnich, who is in his second year with the Toronto Maple Leafs-ECHL affiliate Columbia Inferno, is in his first season as Assistant Coach and Video Coach. Monnich served as the club's Video Coordinator last season. In this role, he is responsible for video analysis of all pre-scout and Inferno game film, contributing to scouting reports on the opposition, as well as players in the Toronto Maple Leaf system and the production of instructional/teaching tapes for players. Monnich assists the head coach on ice during training camp and daily practices throughout the season, and helps provide on-ice instruction at the team's annual prospect camps and hockey schools. Monnich also served as backup and practice goaltender for the Columbia Inferno in the '06-'07 and '07-'08 seasons. He also played as a backup for the Augusta Lynx , and the Pee Dee Cyclones of the SPHL. He has served as Hockey Director of the Inferno Hockey Association Adult Leagues since 2005. He is the Goaltending Coach for the Turkish National Ice Hockey Teams, and Goaltending Consultant to the Turkish Ice Hockey Federation, Ankara, Turkey, of the IIHF. He has served as Goaltending Coach and Assistant Coach to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks Ice Hockey Team from 2004 to 2006. He is an Advanced Instructor with Puckstoppers Goaltending School of London, Ontario, and a regional instructor for GDI. He has served as Head Goaltending Coach and Hockey Director for Southern Hockey Academy and Goaltending Coach for Lemieux Hockey Academy. |
